THE ARTIST
Following a thirty-six-year career as a welding engineer, Israel Stol started welding sculptures as a creative outlet which combines a deep passion for the discipline with a lifelong love of music, interest in sculpting, and admiration of paintings by classic, baroque and modern masters. He derives great satisfaction from the process of materializing the pieces that were first conceived in his imagination, and from the reactions of people who find them appealing for their meaning and workmanship. His sculptures are based on his personal observations and perceptions, which he strives to translate into unique pieces that resonate with people’s aesthetic and cognitive sensibilities.
